सामान्य परिचय–
भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप की वर्तमान भू-वैज्ञानिक संरचना व इसके क्रियाशील भू-आकृतिक प्रक्रम मुख्यतः अंतजनित व बहिर्जनिक बालों तथा प्लेट के क्षैतिज संरचना की अतः क्रिया के परिणामस्वरूप अस्तित्व में आए हैं। भू-वैज्ञानिक संरचना व शैल समूह की भिन्नता के आधार पर भारत को तीन भू-वैज्ञानिक खंडों में विभाजित किया जाता है।
भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप उच्चावच के दृष्टिकोण से विभिन्न स्थल आकृतियों का अनोखा मिश्रण है। यह सभी उच्चावच भिन्न-भिन्न समयांतरालों पर हुए भूगर्भिक हलचलों व बाह्य कारकों का सम्मिलित परिणाम है। और यह भौतिक लक्षणों पर आधारित है।
General Introduction–
The present geological structure of the Indian subcontinent and its dynamic geomorphic processes have come into existence mainly as a result of the action of endogenous and exogenous hairs and the horizontal structure of the plate. India is divided into three geological divisions on the basis of geological structure and variation of rock group.
The Indian subcontinent is a unique mixture of different landforms from the relief point of view. All these reliefs are the combined result of geologic movements and external factors at different time intervals. And it is based on physical features.
1. सिंधु-गंगा-ब्रह्मपुत्र का मैदान
2. हिमालय और अतिरिक्त प्रायद्वीपीय पर्वतमालाएँ
3. प्रायद्वीपीय खंड
1. Indus-Gangetic-Brahmaputra plain
2. Himalayas and Extra Peninsular Ranges
3. Peninsular Section
किसी स्थान की भू-वैज्ञानिक संरचना, प्रक्रिया और विकास की अवस्था का परिणाम है। भारत में धरातलीय विभिन्नताएँँ बहुत महत्वपूर्ण हैं जिसके आधार पर भारत को निम्नलिखित भौगोलिक आकृतियों में विभाजित किया गया है-
The geological structure of a place is the result of process and stage of development. The surface variations are very important in India, on the basis of which India is divided into the following geographical shapes-
1. उत्तरी तथा उत्तर पूर्वी हिमालय
2. उत्तरी भारत का विशाल मैदान
3. भारतीय मरुस्थल
4. प्रायद्वीपीय पठार
5. भारत के दीप समूह
6. तटीय मैदान
1. Northern and North Eastern Himalaya
2. Great Plains of North India
3. Indian desert
4. Peninsular Plateau
5. India's Deep Group
6. Coastal Plain
